    ABOUT ST. AMBROSE
    St. Ambrose Cellars is a producer of Michigan craft beverages including Draft Mead, Still Mead, Wine and Beer. Our brand is distributed in 8 states by our distribution partners. We have grown from a one room meadery to a regional producer of wine, mead & beer in seven short years. Our headquarters and production plant is based in Beulah, Michigan. As we continue to make our award winning craft beverages, we bring new world practices to ancient beverages, with a focus on a balanced palate.

    THE OPPORTUNITY
    St. Ambrose Cellars is looking to grow our network of Sales professionals in Michigan. St. Ambrose’s Sales Representative is responsible for managing both on-premise, off-premise relationships and sales. As well as, developing and maintaining partnerships with distributors, retail customers, and community. This role will be responsible for achieving sales goals and objectives in the Greater Grand Rapids area. The Sales Representative will report to the National Sales Director.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Build and develop the St. Ambrose brand by opening new accounts and developing existing distribution
    Note sales calls in CRM and communicate status of field sales with distributor reps
    Supply management with information on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities providing insight and direction to develop solutions that promote and build St. Ambrose brand, products and services
    Keep abreast of best practices, promotional trends and continuously improve through feedback
    Track sales expenses and report for reimbursement
    Work closely with Marketing to establish and implement successful outside sales marketing programs, campaigns, and materials to profitably increase St. Ambrose availability and points of distribution
    Coordinate and execute off-premise tastings, festivals, and sampling events

    WHAT IS NEEDED TO LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY
    Proven work experience with outside field sales, preferably in Beverage/Consumer Packaged goods (CPG) or comparable industries
    Thrives in an autonomous environment, is self-motivated and highly organized
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to use reports and data to achieve goals and objectives
    Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
    High School Diploma degree or equivalent
    A passion for honey, mead and craft beverages
    Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (6+ hours)
    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
    Willingness to travel up to 50%
    Dependable with a clean driving record
    Compensation based on wine/mead knowledge and industry experience
    TIPS certified

    EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES
    Technology. Responsible for personal computer and cell phone. A per diem for technology is available. Expenses. All expenses incurred personally, eligible expenses will be reimbursed via expense reports that cover mileage, parking meters, ect. Food. No meal per diem unless travelling outside of territory (50 miles from home) for training or event Insurance. The part-time employee is responsible for their own personal car insurance but can apply business insurance on personal vehicle which is a covered expense.
