The Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department is looking for a 3 days/week (with potential for more hours in the future!) licensed social worker (can be LBSW, LLMSW, or LMSW) o work primarily in our Leelanau County office. Working alongside other health professionals, he social worker will primarily focus on meeting the mental health and psycho-social needs of pregnant and parenting families with young children through home visiting services in the Maternal-Infant Health and Parenting Communities programs.
The right social worker should have strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills; demonstrate and ability to connect with clients from a variety of backgrounds; and be able to work independently as well as be a contributing member to the team. A strong preference will be given to an applicant with endorsement or interest in infant Mental Health. Also prefer an applicant with home visiting experience, and a working understanding of community resources.
