Name: Benzie Audubon's Big Day Count
    Date: May 18, 2019
    Event Description:
Members and friends of the Benzie Audubon Club will gather on Saturday, May 18 for our annual Benzie Big Day Count. It is like the Christmas Bird Count except that we count only species, not individual birds, and we look wherever we wish in Benzie County. Birders can count species on their own, or join a group. After a morning of birding we will meet for a brown bag lunch and tally at the home of the club’s President, Sally Cook (1 pm). After lunch those who wish will continue looking for the birds we missed. As part of the Big Day Count, Carl Freeman will be leading a bird-a-thon group benefiting the American Birding Conservancy.
    Various Benzie County birding sites.
